The AllSides Media Bias Chart differs from other media bias charts on the Web because we often make a distinction between the source’s news content and its Opinion/Editorial content. This is true for prominent and widely-read media outlets, such as the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times. Administered through 28 media outlets around the country, the survey asked respondents how trusting they are of the media, whether they financially support news organizations, and which outlets are the most (and least) trustworthy. Here are results to the question about trustworthiness of specific news sources: The chart makes it look like news outlets are roughly evenly split, which they aren’t. Take the center line and move 1/4 the way to the right – that would be one way to do it. But specifically… Reuters is in the middle?? (absolutely freaking not) as is UPI??.. Fox is nowhere near that conservative, they should be toward the center. I like the concept, but some of these placements strike me as a bit off.
